(Whiteboard: [dogfood+] Win98 builds for 5/23 & 5/24 crash on install)

Build ID: 2000050608 Sorry about somewhat general summary. The entire content portion of the browser freezes (and won't unfreeze until page reload) with the following [complicated] steps (you may want to print first, you can't switch apps in the middle): (1) Go to the URL above (http://www.mozilla.org/quality/help/bug-form.html) (2) Click on the Operating System <SELECT> to drop down the list. (3) Put the mouse over Windows 2000 to highlight it (it can be any item, though) (4) Left-mouse-down on Windows 2000, the go to the right until you're outside the dropdown (and into the browser content area). Then release the left mouse button. (5) Click on the dropdown list scrollbar. The dropdown list disappears and the content area then freezes entirely until you reload the page.

I don't think so. I've reproduced that bug and it's nothing really like this one, which freezes it (the other highlights surrounding text).
Yes, but the other bug is where the system is thinking the mouse is still down and text selection is left in a bizarre state in that it is doing selection but probably wasn't set up correctly to it.
Clicking several times on a combobox will cause the browser to lock up. This is because mouse capture gets out of sync.
