was anyone going to take the trouble to write down the actual bug within the bug???
The actual "bug" is rather an RFE: please make the default chromes use PNGs instead of GIFs. Reasoning behind it is that "GIFs are bad and PNGs are good, morally speaking". Also see bug 6963 (WFM) and bug 8415.
Reopening to dupe and get rid of "LATER".
