prob a dup of the many nightly startup failures lately

didnt mean to erase that URL
Do more recent builds work? I think 5/14 was a crasher on Linux, too.
Tested with Build # 2000052808 (talkback) on Win 98 SE Works for Me. I checked the nightly reviews on mozillazine, ALL the late 5-13 and 5-14 builds crashed. It's been a week without a reply since Andreas Franke asked reporter if he had checked with newer build, so I recomend this bug be resolved as works for me.
Sorry was moving. Net connection is now much smaller. I'm not sure that the url is correct [blake clobbered it, right?] One of the following is likely a) this was in a set of unc errors b) I had a destroyed moz* file in a windows dir [and mozilla has a bad path schema] <- my vote c) this was caused by the mozilla build itself [likelyhood <1/google] I think the issue is related to %home%\windows and mozilla's failure to replace a file if one is already there. I will re-examine this bug shortly. -Sorry for the delay
\bin\mozilla -version , don't start anything for me. is there such option? win98 2000053020
Yes there is such an option, and yes the last time we checked it is broken [along w/ -help and many others] on win32. [I haven't used a nightly in a while, so I may be wrong about current status]
using ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/experimental/debug/seamonkey-win32d-2 000-05-17.zip output from any of the following is consistent: F:\H\Program Files\Netscape\Mozilla\debug\bin>mozilla.exe [-console] -v[ersion] [-console] mozilla.exe: version info - actually -console doesn't do anything. however i'm told that current non debug builds do not get output

nav triage team: [nsbeta3-] Not sure if this happens at all anymore, and not a big deal to end users if it just happens with arguments at the end.
Whiteboard: [nsbeta3-]
I have struggled last week with this bug. I had previous only the mozilla-installer.exe but decided to change to the talkback version, because this seems to be the only language PDT understand's :-). In order to overcome the problem I deleted everything from my harddisk and registry where I found the word mozilla. So the best way to reproduce (I do not volunteer to do this again, is run the installer and and later try to install the talkback on the same machine. Just a small hint deleting mozreg.dat and the the keys in the registry is not enough.
Netscape Nav triage team: this is not a Netscape beta stopper.

timeless/law, is this still a problem for you? i'm presuming this is a debug-only issue, as i cannot crash [or, for that matter, doesn't start up]...
It never was a problem for me. I say resolve WFM. Can anybody reproduce this reliably, today?
