don't think this is the same as bug 39430, since y'day i was able to bring up the Passwords dialog. tested using opt comm bits on winNT, 2000.05.17.09 (linux dead, haven't gotten to Mac). select Tasks > Privacy and Security > Password Manager > View Stored Passwords. result: dialog does not display. expected: it should, even if there aren't any stored passwords.

Are you sure about this one? It's working fine for me. Are you getting the failure with a fresh profile or with an existing one?

Well I'm glad it's now working for you. It always has been working for me. So I'll close this out. Let me know if it returns. As I mentioned in bug 39430, there was a window in which builds would have displayed the symptoms you described. That window was for builds made between about 11PM on 5-15 and 8AM on 5-16. With such a build, if you saved a mail password, you would then no longer be able to open the signon viewer -- it simply would not display. I don't think your previous build was from that timeframe, but who knows.
