Because of bug 66723, I had interesting discussion with John Morrison. He agreed that this bug is cross-platform, so there's no need to file a new one. There is the same problem in Win32 builds and it adds a significant response delay to every download operation, particularly notable in cached ones. In my K6-III/400, 192MB ram system it takes about 2 sec for the download dialog to dismiss, even when saving the smallest file from cache. In the same system, NS4.7 takes less than 0.1 sec and IE even less than that. Suggesting Platform:All, OS:ALL, mozilla 1.0
