create account in 4.x, during the mail wizard process, set news.mozilla.org as the server. exit, with out ever having used news. migrate to 6.0 go to subscribe dialog, for news.mozilla.org, won't talk to server since hostinfo.dat exists, but hostinfo.dat is empty. need to be smart, and contact server if hostinfo.dat is empty.

there is a work around, hit the refresh button. moving to m20.

This is a real edge case, isn't it? And it wasn't relnoted for PR3... The blurb: It seems unclear to me whether this bug requires either of a "developer" or "user" release note for Netscape 6 RTM. Used 10-23-09-MN6 build: It seems that there is no problem for current build. I follow this bug test scenario and it seems that it lists newsgroups well without hitting the refresh button again...... Seth, if you see the same result as me by using the current build. Can You mark as workforme and remove relnote from the keywords? Thanks.
