If you load a frameset that includes a frame with the scrolling=no attribute, the frames on that page are rendered correctly, but any subsequent pages that you load don't have scrollbars. Example: 1. Visit http://CNN.com. Looks fine. 2. Visit http://funk.mit.edu/~dewb/moztest. Also looks fine. 3. Visit CNN again. No scrollbars, can't navigate page.

This works on my 3/22 pm WinNT debug build. In viewer, I visited the pages mentioned. Glynn, can you please determine if this is a problem in an optimized build.
I visited above URL from home but am unable to do so now....site is not being found on net, by Seamonkey or 4.51. Will need to try later but I suspect this will remain a WFM.

still cannot access above URL. CNN site works fine, I tried cisiting some of my frametest pages involving scroll yes, no and auto and returned to cnn and no problems found. Verified as WFM til reporter can provide reproducible and accesible test case.

Summary: scrolling=no in <frame> is permanent -- scrollbars never reappear → scrollbars never reappear after visit to frameset with no scrollbars
ok, this was bugging me in the back of my mind so after some more work, I reproduced this on Mac and Linux using March 23 and another test page, 100%. Reopening. March 23 build, optimized apprunner and viewer on Mac and Linux. Win98 appears to work properly. 1. Launch Seamonkey and go to this test page: http://slip/projects/marvin/html/frameset_rows_pixel.html 2. Note scroll bars are not present. Now go to another page like http://www.apple.com • Scroll bars are not displayed and only way to get them to come back is to quit and relaunch the app. Scrolling is default to auto on test page first visited so adjusting summary from scrolling=no to general issue of frames and if scrollbars are present due to page size and content when frameset loads, (not the attribute specific setting for scrolling)

I fixed this bug last week on WinNT Viewer and it still looks fixed on a 4/12 optimized WinNT Viewer and 4/11 optimized Apprunner. Reassigning to Ramiro, since it sounds like it might be a Linux only problem.
