Details

Sometimes (I haven't figured out exactly when, but mess around a bit and you'll see it) when scrolling up or down, it will not render the background, text, or graphics in area you just scrolled to, and instead shows a gray blank area.

Michael, this seems fine under NT so it looks to be Linux specific

I can't reproduce this any more, so I'd say it's fixed. I'll reopen if I find that it still happens.
