build id == 2000061320 I'm behind a Netscape proxy which has usernames/password auth method to let you get out. Mozilla doesn't ask me any login/password and fails to connect to the proxy. Things works well with Netscape 4.7 and IE 4.0.

Yes I entered the machine name and its port 1080 for http, ftp and ssl. just like its configured on IE and Netcsape on the same machine.

I've tested with M16 and still have the problem. I'll try to find out the version of the netscape proxy running.

I got some info from the Network manager: the software is a checkpoint 4.0 running on a AIX host. NT is 4.0 SP5.
