In addition, we were told that the build in the current directory is ready to be used. Question: When a build is in the current directory, does it mean it passes the smoke test? If not, (and if the current build is not ready to be used), can you please send out message to let us know that the current build is not ready to be used. Or else, we will continue to write bug report until you tell us not to.

Your comments/questions about the smoke tests and "current build" need to be directed at the release team, not me. Obviously we don't put crashing bugs in the product on purpose, and if we knew about one at startup we would have held the tree closed. Your bug gives no information about where the crash was or under what conditions--they must be different than most developer's machines or I would have gotten tons of mail about this--so I don't know how to fix this for you.
