Details
The nightly build 4.5.1999 crashes (both viewer && apprunner (there's no
"Component" to select in bugzilla for both...) on a Pentium-II WinNT 4.0 SP 3
box with 64 MB, Netscape 4.51 installed.
The window appears, but leaves empty until "Dr. Watson for WinNT" appears...

Sorry, swap month and day:
month = 4 (April)
day = 5
AFAIK the nightly build 4.5.1999 wasn't compiled yet =:-)

nightly build 4.4.1999 crashes, too - seems to be the same problem
Resolved as FIXED.
Don't know what we did, but today's build works. :-)

Nightly build 7.4.1999 crashed, too. Still seems to be at the same point as the
last crashing nightly builds - window opens, and then hard-disk makes the "sound
of crash" (no joke, you can hear it when Dr. Watson for WinNT starts...). =:-)

Bill, figure our who should really get this bug.
It's not xpapps (since viewer.exe crashes, also).
Sounds like what I was seeing before I rebooted NT. I suggest trying that.
Another thing to try is "viewer about:blank" to see if it's an HTML
parsing/rendering thing.
Oh, and he should also try erasing c:\winnt\mozRegistry.dat.

Testing with nightly build 99-04-08:
1. Still crashes apprunner.exe and viewer.exe, same time as before
2. c:\winnt\mozRegistry.dat deletet
3. Again, both apps crashed...
The last messages in the console before the crash are (apprunner.exe):
-- snip --
Composer has been bottstrapped!
Reading file...
Reading file...Done
REading file...
Reading file...Done
-- snip --
Last message of viewer.exe in the console:
-- snip --
Going to create the event queue
-- snip --
Maybe this can help a little bit...
Moving to M5; unable to reproduce here and seems to be a problem in very limited
set of circumstances.

Seems to be a problem with the JAVA 1.2 JRE plugin (npjava32.dll), creating an
empty /plugin (this was suggested by Bill Law - thanks !) directory solves the
problem (crash), putting npjava32.dll in the directory, and the crash occurs
again.

I wanted to close this as a dup but couldn't find the bug # for the problem with
the java plugins. I'm reassigning this to amusil since he seems to own this
problem.

1. I don't know the bug id#, too, but try to search for bugs reported by, AFAIK
there was a plugin-related bug report (exit on applet load)
2. The bug is a startup crash. The other bug happened after startup, when an
applet was loaded.. IMHO no duplicate...
