David, is this related to what you were talking about on the newsgroups?
I am able to create a second browser. However it uses the first browser windows appcore so you get wierd results like typing in a URL in the second window loads in the first window and you crash hard if you close the windows in the wrong order. I don't know what build this particular error occurs in but if you want I can take a look at it when I deal with all the other window's related bugs I have. For m4 I would recommend disabling the new window command since it basically will not work properly and leads to major instability.
So fixing this for M4 seems difficult, though possible. Surely data specific to a window belongs in the window class, not the appcore. Should we fix, release-note or, as davidm suggests, disable?
Since I've been wearing the hat of the conservative stability weenie, I say wait. If you're not comfortable with it, or it has the chance of destabilization, push it to M5.
The two "wait" options are release-note and disable.
Um, note that is is disabled? :-)
I think I should move this to M5, but do we want the menu item disabled (so that it does nothing)? If you don't stop me, this is the way I am going to fix it.
Target Milestone: M4 → M5
Changed target milestone to M5. John, until we get menu command enable/disable working from the XPToolkit team, we can't really disable it either.
We can remove the javascript function associated with the menu (remove its onclick() method). That is what I meant!
Hmm...so my Release Note for M4 is "Secondary browser windows on the Mac will resolve URL entries in the first browser windows".?
More like "New Browser Window" will simply not work. In the words of Duncan MacLeod, "there can be only one". This is drastic, and nobody else except davidm has expressed an opinion. Should I do it, or not?
I just tried this again, and it worked...

It sort of works for me, too, now. I'm marking it WorksForMe, then.
