inserting space before a space doesn't work

Details
install the 4/5 apprunner build
1) launch apprunner -editor
2) insert caret between text. Make sure the caret is inserted
before a space.
3) click on space bar.
you'll notice nothing gets inserted.
If you put the caret directly in front of the text, than you're able
to insert a space.

fixed in today's build, though there are plenty of other whitespace issues
remaining.
verified in 4/26 build..however, lots of other bugs found related to inserting a
space....I filed them
as separate bugs..
