using 4/5 build of apprunner. 1) launch apprunner -editor 2) high-light some text using mouse 3) apply bold or italic and keep the text highlighted. you'll notice that as you're looking at the highlighted text you don't see the new changes(bold, italic). Only when you dismiss the selection, thats when you see the new changes. compare to 4.X, 3.x behavior.

this is just an update problem. I think it's a selection update problem, so I'm assigning it to Mike. If I'm wrong, then it's a general layout incremental update problem, and should be reassigned to Kipp I believe. I think Kipp already has a bug like this assigned to him (4524) This may be a duplicate.

okay this looks fixed now, but there are other issues, filed separate bug. verified in 4/8 build.
