Delete all cookies. Go to scopus and then click on bugsplat. Will get a message saying that you need to be authenticated and will present you with something to click on to get to authentication page. Click on it. Now you are at the username/password page. Enter some values (valid or otherwise). Click on OK. System waits for an interminable amount of time and then eventually (maybe several minutes later) the bugsplat page comes up. During this wait everything seems to be frozen -- you cannot resize, close or move the browser window. I would think that this is an M4 showstopper

Well I'm glad that you've discovered this was a duplicate because I sure wasn't able to fix it. I did narrow it down to a simplified version of the bugsplat page which I put up at http://peoplestage/morse/bugs/slow.htm. So you can use this as a test case -- it takes about 75 seconds to load on my win32 box. And, yes, it does appear to be related to the select because there is a very big select on that page and if I remove the select the page loads almost instantaneously. But if I leave that select in and take out other things I was also able to get fast loading so it is some interaction with select and other things. Reassinging to pollmann since he already has the duplicates assigned to him

Great test case Steve. I just loaded it up in my fixed version and it came up nearly instantly. Fix will be checked in as soon as I get approval.
