the blender currently cannnot deal with: 1) arbitrary pixel formats. 2) high speed code paths to deal with the most popular pixel formats. 3) blending using two sources in bit depths other than 16 bpp.

Blending fix in most general cases. There are other bugs.. but those have there own bug reports. This was more general.. and in general blending works.
