Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; m18) Gecko/20000809 BuildID: 2000080908 Is it possible to add an extra entry under preferences that specifies the directory path for storing browser information and bookmarks other than /temp/users50. This is unfortunately a problem due to automatic network scripts on our system that helpfully? clear the temp directory after evry reboot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: This is only a problem on my network due to scripts configured by the administrator to run every time a PC reboot, that do some housekeeping. I realise this will probably not class as very high priority but it is extremely annoying having to recreate all my bookmarks and re-enter all my password every time I reboot my PC. Actual Results: I have to spend 30 mins recreating my Mozilla environment every time I reboot. Expected Results: Mozilla should survivie a reboot 8)
hmm...doesn't appear in the /temp directory for me in win2k. Just in the /users50 directory of wherever I installed mozilla. Over to preferences...

default locations for profile data has never been in temp- but rather relative o executable (one level up) - changes made recently (re bug 6464) new location on Win platform is as follows: Windows 2000 : C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data Windows NT : C:\Winnt\Profiles\<user name>\Application Data Windows 95,98 if password protection is disabled : C:\Windows\Application Data if password protection is enabled : C:\Windows\Profiles\<user name>\Application Data also user may specify 1. where Mozilla gets installed and 2. where profile data is stored. this may be duplicate of bug 6464
This problem is fixed by bug 6464 -- profiles are now stored in sane locations. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 6464 ***
