so you have a wide page open. scroll horizontally so you're in the middle of it, and not all of it fits on the screen. load a new page in there. if it is narrower, i'm seeing a scrollbar at the right side of its content, and then garbage for the rest of the horizontal width to the right of the scrollbar (it never shrank down), and i'm still scrolled to the middle of this document.
