Details

** Observed with 4/7/99 version of Unix LocaleSelftest. ** I ran LocaleSelftest on RH Linux 5.2 and it crashed under 2 conditions: 1. When it was run without any option during the collation test. 2. When it was run with "-col" option.
OS: Windows NT → Linux
Target Milestone: M5
The source for LocaleSelftest is available here: mozilla/intl/locale/tests (source files) http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/intl/locale/tests (for browsing)
removed me from the cc list. it's not my test.

I saw the same problem before but now it's woking on my machine (checked with 4/9 and 4/11 build). I think that's because of the assertion I put in the previous build. I did that in order to check the case issue of linux (using en_US, linux generates the same key ignoring the case option, this should be filed as a bug).

I used the 4/12/99 Linux build and LocaleSelftest from the same date. The problem still exists with this build and the test quits with a core dump while doing the collation test.
It's working on my machine. For M5 all we need is the sort result. Momoi san, you can use my machine to do the sorting test.

It seems that under some circumstances, we need to run apprunner for the newly installed build once for this utility not to have a crash. This applies not only to Linux but also to Win version of the selftest program. It's now working on myLinux as well. Marking it verified fixed.
