Details

* TITLE/SUMMARY Pressing "Stop" stops page load, but doesn't stop throbber/progress bar. * STEPS TO REPRODUCE 0) Launch Apprunner 1) Open a URL (I used www.macosrumors.com and www.prometheus-music.com) 2) After a second or two, press the "Stop" button. * RESULT - What happened The page load successfully stops. However, the throbber continues to throb, and the progress bar at the bottom of the window continues to pulse. - What was expected Throbber and progress bar to reflect actual application status. (A bug exists that might cover this issue --- 3449 --- but the description in it doesn't actually describe the current behavior, so I'm writing up a separate bug report in case these are different issues.) * REGRESSION - Occurs On Mac OS Apprunner (4.9.99 PM optimized build) Win32 Apprunner (4.9.99 AM optimized build [NT 4, Service Pack 3]) Linux Apprunner (4.9.99 AM optimized build) * CONFIGURATIONS TESTED - [Mac] Power Mac 8500/120 (233 Mhz 604e), 64 MB RAM (VM on; 1 MB of VM used), 1024x768 (Thousands of Colors), Mac OS 8.5.1 - [Win32] Vectra VL (233 Mhz P2), 96 MB RAM, 800x600 (True Color), NT 4.0 SP3. - [Linux] Vectra VL (266 Mhz P2), 96 MB RAM.

marking as a dupe since although the behavior has changed it still points to the same issue. Namely, clicking the 'stop' button doesn't announce the event to everything that needs to hear it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 3968 ***
