I downloaded the new gecko release for Linux (rpm) today and can't get it to run properly. The viewer starts up fine, but crashes as soon as I try to open a HTML file (online and offline) and reports a "segmentation fault". apprunner just opens a blank window with the title "unknown". This is apprunner's output in the terminal window: nsComponentManager: Using components dir /usr/lib/mozilla/bin/components/ Argument: -progname, ****** Value: ./apprunner iconic state not set width was not set height was not set OnConnectionsComplete Got thew event queue from the service calling gdk_input with event queue I'm running RedHat 5.2 (Kernel 2.2.5), XFree86 3.3.1, Gnome 1.0.4-11rh with Enlightenment 0.15.4, glib 1.2.1-1 on a PentiumII/400 w/128MB RAM and a Matrox G200. I've tried starting Mozilla both as root and as a normal user, the problem stays the same. with kind regards, David Mayr

Resolved as WORKSFORME. I'm sorry, but I just can't reporduce this behavior. Is this still happening for you?
Yes, it still happens. I figures it might be Gnome and tried it with fvwm, but the problem didn't go away. Never mind, though, I'll just wait for the next release...
