(This bug imported from BugSplat, Netscape's internal bugsystem. It was known there as bug #344968 http://scopus.netscape.com/bugsplat/show_bug.cgi?id=344968 Imported into Bugzilla on 04/20/99 17:18) Customers need a way to print URL, title, date, ... on Unix platfroms like on Windows.
Setting Target Fix Version to 5.0. Assigning to sol. He will evaluate it and either: 1. define it as a new feature, completes the design, assigns to somebody from the core engineering group (QA also would come from the core engineering group) for inclusion in 4.x releases and later for 5.x release or 2. resolve it as WONTFIX Note that there is a request from Morgan Stanley on this already.

Summary: printing headers and footers on Uniz → printing headers and footers on Unix
Reassign to Phil (front end). This is a feature parity item from 4.5 (although right now in 5.0, printing isn't fully implemented).

I can't see any mail/news stuff in this bug report. Looks like browser stuff to me. Since printing is done by Gecko in 5.0, reassigning to rickg.

I can't tell what the point of this report is. Are you saying that we have to print in 5.0? Are you asking us to make sure we support a particular idiom? Please be more specific.
Assignee: lchiang → rickg
This is an enhancement request from 4.5 product line that the customer would like to see in 5.0. On Windows platform in 4.x, there is a File | Page Setup menu item that allows the user to enable and disable printing of a) document title, b) document location URL, c) page number, d) page total, and e) date printed. On Unix platform in 4.x, there is no File | Page Setup menu item. So, the user does not have the option to disable these items during printing. This bug report is for the ability to enable/disable these items during printing in 5.0. If this isn't clear, pls let me know and I'll try to explain further.

Peter -- here's a feature request for you. My guys have implemented printing, but controlling what gets printed should be yours, don't you think?
Assignee: trudelle → scc
reassigning to scc, who owns the native print dialogs. Scott, please check to see if this sort of thing is standard on GTK. If not, it would have to be required in the PRD to put it on our 5.0 schedule. cc'ing johng for marketing input.

Not needed for beta 1, moving to M15. Changed title to say enhancement. Reasonable enhancement which we will hopefully get with xp. Reassigning back to trudelle.

Rods, this is already fixed, right? File->Page Setup exists for me on Linux with 2002-05-23-01 from the 1.0 branch, and on the Margins & Headers/Footers pane I can select what to print in the header/footer. Resolving as WORKSFORME.
