This bug has now remained unrepaired for 11 years + now - and, with changes in the 'net has led to a problem for FIOS 'net users and what impresses me as a potential security hole: "when Nav encounters a PDF file, it starts an initial connection and pours the file into Acrobat (NPP_Write). It keeps that initial connection open and pouring **until* the first NPN_RequestRead." Bug 53368
