build id: 1999042608 reproduces on: mac os 8.5.1 only. works as expected on nt 4 sp 4 and linux. to reproduce: load the page at the above url, or create a page that contains a form with a textarea that contains some text with windows carraige returns / line feeds between some of the words. if you look at that url on a mac, you'll see empty lines between every two words in the text. expected result: there should be no blank lines between the words. that is, a carraige return should cause text that comes after it to display on the next line immediately underneath the preceding line of text.

karnaze is correct - this only happens on the mac, not on windows or linux.
