build 1999042908, mac os only. although the new mac apprunner icon looks swell, it's very difficult to double-click on as lots of the icon's area is transparent - the clicks pass straight through to the desktop. not being able to design an icon myself, i'm not familiar with the correct terminology, but if it's possible so that any click across the entire image is registered correctly, that would be ideal. thanks!

I think this one is fixed: Netscape build has the netscape icon, mozilla has the "m" and both of them are not "difficult to open" any more. Anyone has different opinion? otherwise, i am closing this bug and eli can you please verify it soon.

Mozilla for Netscape uses an icon suite that Simon Fraser put together before any UI resources were available, rather than the Windows "M" icon. I believe there is another bug dealing with the fact that the Mozilla icon mask enables clicks pass through to the desktop, and this is probably a duplicate. CC:ing Simon in case it rings a bell.

I do not think this issue be ignored. I do not like the current icon at all because of this bug. No icon should require user some getting used to clicking the right position.

Of course it's being ignored, it's assigned and QA assigned to two people who are long gone.

Is anybody interested in implementing Giovanni's icons? http://www.crosswinds.net/~ggc/ For desktop icons (resource ID128), it is not difficult to adapt his. For others such as documents, plug-ins, extensions, etc, and, especially small icons, it requires more tweaking.

if we pick those icons this should be easy enough for anyone w/ a mac to do. resetting milestone to match bug 43647.

Can you make icons, and add BNDLs etc to viewer and the PPEmbed smaple too please? Ensure they each have a unique creator code.

OK, I made a red version of the icon for Viewer, and the appropriate BNDL resources. This is using the creator 'MOZV'. S. Dagley, Simon Fraser said that you handle registering creators and types with Applet DTS. Can you do this one please? Also we'll need MOZP for the PowerPlant embeded version. Icons and BNDLs for that will be forthcoming...

OK made a stripy "under construction" version for powerplant embed. Attached project file to build app with type MOZP and altered resources to have BNL and icon. Reviews please!

I submitted a registration request for MOZV and MOZP creator codes. No confirmation yet but they were listed as available when I did a search.
