using 4/29 build of apprunner on Windows. 1) launch apprunner 2) launch editor from task menu 3) apply bold, italic or underline to a portion of text 4) now highlight whatever you just applied and try to bring it back to normal text. you can't do it...the text stays in whatever attribute you just applied. happens on all platforms

Hi greg, I tried that redraw trick to see if the problem still persists. in this case the problem is still there even after resize of the window..I'll try it out on the other bugs that I filed..

I am not seeing this with today's build. Please re-test tomorrow and see if it has been fixed. I am testing a debug build on WinNT with code as of 11:00am 4/29/99. It could have been fixed by recent checkins by mjudge

I re-tried on 4/30 build. still a problem...on all platforms...

how are you applying style attributes? are you using keyboard or buttons? if you're using the buttons, try using the keyboard and see if that makes a difference.

okay using Ctrl-B,I,U keys it seems to work fine other than the fact that it displays a vertical bar on the left side of the paragraph. I'll file a spe. bug on this. Steve, looks like its a button issue, should we close this one out and file a separate bug? or use this bug as the button issue? your call.

sujay, can you retest this? I should have fixed the remove styles button just before M5. You can't use the Bold button to toggle off bold yet, but the remove styles button should revert to plain text.

yes I see the remove style button working to toggle attributes(bold, it. und.) working on today's 4/30 build. But still we can't use the Bold, Underline, Italic buttons to toggle the text attributes using today's 4/30 build.
