Setting the style to same as before through DOM causes a reflow. The only time there is a reason to reflow the rest of the document is when the size of the frame has changed. In the sample, provided by the URI, there it takes equally long time the scond time the button is pressed (about half a minute) although nothing is changed. (There are some serious performance bugs when it comes to reflows and js but I think these are covered by other bug reports. Just verifying that this is still a problem with the latest NECKO builds for 08/05.
