I'm using a dutch Windows 98 version, 4.10.1998.

It works for me (and several other people) on Windows 98. Can you give me some more details about your machine configuration? Like memory size, etc. ...

Intel Pentium II processor 128 MB RAM Intel 440 6ABX AGP Mainbord
Target Milestone: M6
Hmmm ... that sounds like my configuration. OK, I'm gonna move this to M6 for now until I can get a reproducible case locally. I tried this morning's builds and they don't crash on startup, however they do load a page somewhat slowly (but that's another bug :-). Have you tried deleting "C;\Windows\mozregistery.dat" before launching apprunner?
Yes, I deleted that file and tested today's build of Mozilla, but it still crashes on startup.

Jan, can anyone on your team reproduce this? None of us see this problem, so I don't know what to do with this bug? Help, please! :-)

Browser QA, can anyone reproduce?
Het spijt me, maar... I can't reproduce this either (using janc's machine and the 1999050408 build). Similar bug: 5172 (crash in the same DLL at startup, Swedish Windows 98, talkback DPN45EGJ)

Tried one more time using the 1999050908 build on a Dell Dimension XPS R400 machine running US Windows 98 - again, no crash. As there are other bugs reported against Dutch Windows 98 (eg bug 6054), I'm guessing that the problem is not specific to Dutch Windows 98, and is more likely specific to vdwel's PC. Marking verified resolved worksforme.
Tested the 1999042908 build on a Intel Pentium 133 with 32 MB RAM and an Award ROM PCI/ISA BIOS 2A59FPAC Mainbord, running Dutch Windows 98, Version 4.10.1998. It worked perfectly. On the other hand, the nightly builds do still crash when using the other machine(PII-350).
Tested the 1999050718 build on the Pentium-II 350-machine. This is the first build that actually doesn't crash on startup since the work began on M4. I guess the bug is 'fixed' for now.
