This looks to me like a reappearance of bug 20700. If I submit a form and the
form action handler sends me back a page with the same URL, View Source shows me
the HTML source of the original page and not the new page.

hrm, part of me thinks this is a dup of bug 55583 --but there's no method in the
form tag.
bill/rod/vladimir, what d'you think?

I agree; looks like that bug (55583) on the face of it. Is there a specific url
that this bug is referring to?
The URL I experienced this on is on an internal development site that's
only intermittently available outside of our network, if at all. If you
want to see it, I can probably make an instance of it available. In case
it matters, I should make clear that an idiosyncracy of the URL in
question is not just that the page is dynamically generated, but that it
contains a form tag with no action attribute, so that submitting the form
goes back to the same URL, which then returns a different page.

Bug 20700 was about the view source window showing the page instead of the html
source. Since you ended up back at the same url, the form was probably a POST
form. It sounds like when you did view source, the page with the form showed
up instead of the page resulting from the post. I agree with sairuh and law
that this is a dup of bug 55583.
