When I go to http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5764 ...I get a query error and the page cannot be seen. This happens both with Lynx (my main browser, even though bugzilla is unusable using it) and Opera (my backup browser for problems like this). I am ccing Christopher Pratt <cpratt@netscape.com> as is apparently able to be this bug. This problem is a serious blocker for QA.

This URL works using Communicator 4.51 under Windows 98 and Red Hat Linux 5.2, and Communicator 4.6 under Windows NT. I've also been successful in loading it using the 1999051008 seamonkey build (apprunner) under NT and linux.

So, the problem here is that the bug in question has been marked "Netscape confidential" -- only people with the appropriate bit set can read this bug. I read the bug, and could see no good reason for it to have the bit set, and I have whined in the bug, so that hopefully it will get fixed soon. Meanwhile, I have made bugzilla display much more useful error messages in this case.

Since two Netscape engineers have succeeded in seeing this bug, and I am netscape-external QA, I am 99% sure that this is being caused by the new "confidential bug" code. In addition, I am now getting (using NN4) a permission denied error instead. See attached page (coming up...).

Ok, ignore my previous comment, I was writing it as Terry was fixing it... Terry, muchos kudos on the quick fix. The error message is indeed now much more useful (checked both in logged in and logged out cases). How long 'til I can read the bug? :^)
