RE: Linux build (1999-05-11-08 m6)
Win32 (1999-05-11-09 m6)
Mac (1999-05-11-88 m6)
Steps:
1. Open Messenger from Tasks|Messenger
2. Select a message from the Inbox folder, click on the Delete button
3. Message is gone from the Inbox folder but it does not show up in the Trash
folder
4. Exit apprunner and re-display the folder pane, the message does not show up
in the trash folder.
Expected result: Deleted message should go to the Trash folder.
Talked to Seth, he said I should log the bug even though it may not be in the
feature yet.
Occurs in all three platforms.

Yep, I don't think that's supposed to work yet. Reassign to putterman.

I'll mark this M8. I wish there was an M?. But this is probably a feature that
people would want before they'd use this on a regular basis.
Yes, people would want this feature before regular usage. As a workaround, they
could use shift+delete. Does that work yet?

In local mail at least, nothing related to moving messages to trash is working.
We haven't done any work with the keyboard either.

Target Milestone: M8
I think for POP, delete message (via toolbar) is working and moving the message
to the trash folder in the current builds.

Yes it is. I'm going to mark this fixed.
fyi: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8457 tracks the case to make
sure delete message works for IMAP.
Also, esther - we need to make sure we have a bug logged with using the Delete
key to delete a message if that's not working.
Linux and Win32(1999-06-25-08 m8). Mac (1999-06-25-10 m8)
and Linux and Win32(1999-06-28-08 m8) and Mac (1999-06-28-09 m8)
IMAP and POP: Delete works on all three platforms and the deleted message are
moved to the Trash folder
Note: Since I wrote this bug and Esther is on vacation, I am verifying this bug.
Lisa, please let me know if you disagree.
That's fine - thanks.
Can you do the following: "we need to make sure we have a bug logged with using
the Delete key to delete a message if that's not working."
