Details

I compared the memory usage of Mozilla and Netscape Communicator 4.51 on a page with a huge 450 kb table. The results show that Mozilla (used 23MB) uses almost twice as much memory as Netscape Communicator (used 13MB). When Mozilla was started, it used 6MB memory, when I loaded the big table, it increased to 23MB and when I switched back to the very small page, the memory usage decreased to 8MB. Are there lots of debug buffers that are allocated? Or why does it need so much memory? I used the M5 build.
