this bug has to do with the messages pane of the prefs.
problems:
the "Wrap outgoing, plain text messages at … characters" should have the number
72 automatically inserted in its input control. It is currently blank.
I believe - but I am not sure - that the default for starting one's reply should
be "start my reply above the quoted text", but seamonkey currently defaults to
"start my reply below the quoted text". can someone say for sure?

matt.
The "Wrap outgoing, plain text messages at … characters" text field should have
the number 72 inserted as a default.
The default for starting one's reply should be "start my reply above the quoted
text".

When you currently do a clean install of Mozilla (Win95, build 02/29) it sets
word wrapping to 72 and "start my reply above the quoted text" by default.
So the mentioned problems have apparently been addressed.
As I do not own the bug, I won't mark it fixed. Feel free to do so.

(and linux and mac).
marking as wfm...however, matt, was there an actual fix submitted for this? if
so, feel free to change the resolution to Fixed. thx!
