This still mentions the 'depend' target for use with client.mk ... this isn't used for the most part any longer is it?

Resolution: --- → INVALID
The depend target is still needed for non-gnu compilers. If you use a gnu compiler it simply prints out a message that MD depend is being used and skips the target. If you come up with a way to clear up the confusion, let me know and I'll make the change. Marking INVALID.
