There should be a keyboard command, and maybe also a menu command, to reload a page (and its images) from the cache. This would allow me to - reset scripts on a page quickly. - reset forms with the keyboard quickly. \ cf bug 37220 - reset forms without reset buttons. / - restart animated banner ads (reloading the page often doesn't work, since most servers give a new banner ad each time the page is loaded). - force a complete redraw of the page if layout or compositor screws up. I think it would make sense to ignore no-cache when the user triggers this command. This bug depends on bug 40867, "Need means to reuse/reload current page without refetching from server".

This would be the opposite of shift+ctrl+r (reload page and images from server).

File > Work Offline; View > Reload. Done. I really don't think a more prominent UI than that is required.

mpt: Hitting reload while offline should try to go online instead of just re- fecting the page from the cache, since it's easy to forget you're in offline mode. I think that's covered by bug 45421.
