Details

[Build ID 1999061108] If you click on a link inside an email message in Messenger, the browser is not launched. Instead, the message area (in 3-pane) is taken over by the content referenced by the URL. The only way to get back to the message content is to select another message, then return to the original message. Steps to recreate: Launch seamonkey. Open Messenger (Tasks | Messenger) Select an email message that contains a link to a Web page Click on the link [The area occupied by the message is taken over by the Web page referenced by the URL in the link] Note, this may be related to bug 6626 - "Mail compose: click on link and new page displays w/in compose window" http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6626

Good bug description, Sol :-) I'm changing platform to All since this is probably a backend thing.

Yes, I think this is exactly the same problem as bug 6626. We don't have code for that URL dispatching yet, but warren, mscott and others will fix that for/with necko. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 6626 ***
