The view source function (Ctrl+U in NT) does not refresh the source markup for pages even when recached from the server. Often this problem is accompanied by junk markup that appears in the browser window.

Yep. DUP of bug 55583, "view-source should show original source (use cached source)". Not the same symptoms, but if view-source always pulls from the cache, the problem noted here won't happen either. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 55583 ***
