Reproducible: Sometimes, and in another ways, not discussed here. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure "When Navigator starts-up, display" "Home page" (Edit->Preferences->Navigator). 2. Home page location can be anything, http://www.cnet.com is mine. 3. Well, Mozilla is opened. 4. Press CTRL+N for a new window, CTRL+L for focus to location bar, then start type a new url, www.builder.com. Please do this as fast as you can. Actual Results: If you did step four fast enough, you'll see Mozilla throwing away part of your just typed in URL. Expected Results: Mozilla should be aware whether the user is trying to type a new URL. The new page should load, but the URL can't be changed back if the user has altered it. Marcos.

Maybe bug 88302 is not a dup of 77675 because they are different cases. I didn't describe it so well. You can see it happening doing this: 1. Load some URL on Mozilla. http://www.cnet.com/ 2. Now type a new URL, www.builder.com 3. Press ENTER and rapidly replace www.builder.com with another URL. Typing a few keys will do. 4. When the page begins to draw, you just typed URL is lost, and the current page's URL is displayed in its place. I don't think this has got anything to do with windows focus, but with page load.
