Sorry, it was my fault - I've uploaded the wrong stylesheet. Revisit the site or go direct to the site via http://home.t- online.de/home/joe.g/indexm8.htm. Make a new screenshot and compare it with your first screenshot. (I'm working under win32 - don't whether the problem appears under solaris too) The problem was reproduced with the build 2001072703.

Looks like setting font-size on an inline element does not change the line height... For block elements all is good. This makes sense to me intuitively, but I can't find anything in the spec on it. Over to style system.
