Please retest today. I introduced a bug yesterday afternoon, after the tree
opened, that would cause this, and fixed it yesterday night, but I assume you
are using a build from while the tree was closed.
Otherwise, I have no idea why this would be broken on Linux and work on win32.

Hmm, I know I haven't touched the pop networking code in a couple of weeks (at
least not on the tip). If the problem is still there, I would start of guessing
outside of the networking code...command passing? JS/XUL code recognizing get
new message call?
Hm. It's working for me with the 7_7 Linux build (I'm using the nsmail-5 account
qatest30 as pop3.)
Using 19990708 build today on linux with 1 pop 1 news, I was able to send and
receive.

So, can I mark this works for me or fixed?
Esther is going to look at jpatel's system to see what the cause may be.
Mark it fixed or worksforme. Jay's password was wrong in his prefs50.js file so
he wasn't receiving messages. When he corrected the password, he was able to
receive. So we're all working now.

Moving all Mail/News Networking bugs to Mail/News Networking-Mail
This may re-open previously Verified bugs due to a Bugzilla bug...if so, I will
fix those bugs.
