(This does not happen for XML, only XUL.) The presence of an html:script element (before the well-formedness error, I assume) causes XUL well-formedness errors not to be reported. Testcase to be attached. The error is correctly reported (in the text window) if the html:script element is removed. Furthermore, with the html:script element, the document is not displayed at all, whereas without it, the document is displayed up to the error. The linked script file can be empty.

Forgot to mention that I'm testing on mozilla.org's 1999-07-07 build, on Linux.

This seems to have been fixed between the builds of 1999-08-24 and 1999-08-26. Marking fixed, based on Linux viewer 1999-08-26-12-M10 and 1999-08-30-01-M10 and apprunner 1999-08-30-01-M10.

Verified fixed, build of 1999-10-08-08-M11. Perhaps I shouldn't be the one marking this verified since I was the one who marked it resolved, but then again, you did QA-assign it to me. But I was the only one bothered by it, anyway, it seems.
BULK MOVE: Changing component from XUL to XP Toolkit/Widgets: XUL. XUL component will be deleted.
