Details
(Keywords: platform-parity)
Build ID: 1999070614 (appears to actually be the July 13 6 pm build)
Platform: Windows 98 only (requires two displays)
To reproduce:
- Install jre122.exe (the Java 1.2.2 plug-ins)
- Create a folder in the x86rel folder (the seamonkey folder) called 'plugins'
- Copy the three Java plug-ins to that folder
- Launch apprunner
- Load http://java.sun.com
- After the page and applet have finished loading, move the browser window to
the secondary display
Result: the Java applet remains on the primary display (and continues to
function correctly). As you drag other windows around on the primary display,
garbage is generated, but the applet does eventually redraw itself correctly.
Expected result: The applet displays in the correct position in the browser
window on any display.
I don't have a dual display device, or win98, so I'm de-prioritizing this until
I can test it.

Summary: [PP] Windows 98 - Java applets orphaned on primary display → Windows 98 - Java applets orphaned on primary display
I still don't have a dual display win98 device. I'm assigning this to Raju to
test. It's low priority.

Is this still a problem?
Shrirang, maybe you can talk to your manager to expense a PCI video card for a
Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows Me system in your department? I'd be happy
to help get your team a dual monitor Windows system, but I don't have one
myself.
