The Address Book window has a tree in the left pane that displays the address books. Each address boodk has an address book icon to the left of the name fo the address book. This icon should about the height of the text. Sometimes it displays the icon about twice as high and twice as wide as it should be. Closing the window and opening it again usually produces the correct results. Sometimes it even displays correctly on the first attempt. Bug 9720 was filed against the address book but this bug seems to be caused by the code that actually draws the icon or lays out the tree.

Bug 9720 which is marked as depending on this bug was actually logged against Windows NT only. I see this on the Mac as well. I do not have a Linux box.

I have not seen this problem on my machine for over a week. Has this been fixed?
